We will visually inspect your gas furnace to ensure the burner is functioning properly and that there isn’t any black soot around it. Next, we lubricate any moving parts necessary, test the safety controls, and tighten the electrical connections. We ensure your thermostat is working properly and then adjust it to the appropriate settings. Lastly, we inspect the vent piping and humidification system in your home.
For your oil furnace, we perform all the same maintenance checks as we would for a gas unit, but we also add an extra step. To ensure that oil is moving easily and efficiently to your furnace burner, we clean the attached nozzle to remove any buildup that would prevent the oil from getting through properly. During both services, we will also check your air filters to determine if they are still working well or if they need to be replaced.
