Proper Ventilation Matters – Here’s Why

Having a fully functioning HVAC system is key. Why? Because it not only keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, but it also helps keep your home safe and sound. In fact, here are some of the three most important reasons to consider upgrading your home’s ventilation system as soon as possible.

Condensation can be damaging.

Without proper ventilation, the condensation and added humidity in your home can be detrimental. Imagine pouring a puddle of water on your wood floor, or spraying a wet spot on your walls – then leaving it there for days on end. Eventually, it will begin to stain, warp and foster mold growth. Yuck!

Dirty air makes for dirty lungs.

Your ventilation system works hard to keep pesky airborne illnesses and allergens out, and clean, crisp air in. As we mentioned above, excess moisture can lead to mold, which in turn will remain circulating in the air without proper ventilation – cue the asthma and hayfever!

Unfiltered air can be dangerous.

Deadly gases like radon and carbon monoxide can be lurking around your home at any moment. Fortunately, a good ventilation system will stop these naturally occurring detriments in their tracks.
