Darien is a relatively small town on Connecticut′s ″Gold Coast″, situated between Norwalk and Stamford. The town touts a median home price of approximately $1 million and is consistently ranked as one of America′s most exclusive places to live.According to historical documents, colonists from New Haven and Wethersfield first cleared the land now known as Darien in 1641. Like so many towns around America, Darien remained a small rural community until it was blessed by the railroad. After the Civil War, Darien transitioned into a resort town; a label that is still holds to this day.

Like most of Connecticut, July is the hottest month with temperatures peaking in the mid 80s and January is the coldest month with temperatures getting all the way down to the high 20s.
